Unrivaled performance
When Power, Efficiency and Superior Design exceed your expectations
GARMIN G 1000
Garmin G1000 avionics, an all-glass integrated avionics system.
E-COPILOT
Benefit from the new e-copilot functions to ease your workload with AOA (Angle of attack) indicator, ESP/USP (Enhanced Safety Protection/Under Speed Protection) systems, EDM (Emergency Descent Mode) on your autopilot.
Plenum
A redesigned cowling with more efficient inlet, a simplified plenum to improve airflow, nozzles access, inertial separator up to VMO and more. The TBM 900 is still powered by the proven PT6A-66D, but with all the other improvements, you get the equivalent of 80 more horsepower without increasing fuel consumption. Thanks to the new torque limiter, you can use all of the TBM 900s 850 Hp right from the start of the takeoff roll.
Exhausts
Our exhaust were redesigned for the TBM 900 for better efficiency resulting which maximizes the airflow through the engine improving high-altitude performance.
HARTZELL 5 Blade Propeller and Spinner
The 5-blade propeller, which was designed specifically to integrate with the TBM 900s new inlet, produces even more thrust and in combination with other performance enhancements improves the take-off distance, climb and cruise speed of the TBM 900.
P&WC PT6A-66D
The TBM 900 is powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine. Its simple design offers easy maintenance, efficiency and low cost of operation. It is covered by one of the most extensive support networks in the industry. Variants of the PT6A are in use on more than 100 different types of aircraft. Safety proven, from years of regional airliner and commercial aircraft operations with over 43,000 engines in the field (spanning over 400 million flight hours), the PT6A is recognized as one of the most reliable aircraft powerplants ever built. The PT6A-66D model used on the TBM 900 has a thermodynamic rating of 1,825 horsepower and a flat-rated output of 850 shaft horsepower making it the most powerful PT6A built to date.
Everything at your finger-tips
cockpit ergonomics

Overhead Panel
The newly redesigned overhead panel is equipped with better instrument reading, a new abort position on starter switch and integrated switches.

Electronic Standby Instrument
The first solid-state integrated standby system specifically created for General Aviation aircraft and helicopters that provides dependable backup for attitude, airspeed, slip/skid and optional heading information.

MFD display
The super large 15-inch multi-function display (MFD) not only integrates all primary flight navigation , weather, traffic, and terrain information but also engine monitoring, aircraft status airport arrival/departure and checklists.

Garmin Electrical System
Enables flight crew to view the electrical system of the aircraft including instruments, battery levels and oil pressure.

Garmin Satellite Data link
Allows flight crew to place outgoing calls send and receive emails and text messages during flight.

Ergonomic yoke with remote command buttons
Design for ease of use, the TBM 900 yoke includes integrated push-buttons features like Control Wheel Steering, ATC Ident, Stormscope and Com frequency swap. The center of the yoke is specifically designed to optionally mount a mini iPad which puts everything at your fingertips.

Garmin (XM) Weather Data Link
Gives the pilot and co-pilot enhanced on demand satellite weather in the cockpit.

De-icing Control Panel
Our multi capable multi sensor has all the capabilities to control and monitor snow and ice accumulation while flying in extreme weather conditions.

Pilot door
The pilot door enables large luggage or freight loading. Here the pilot can easily board the aircraft through a secure passenger door, locking before climbing on board.

Landing Gear Control Box
The landing gear control system has been redesigned for easy identification of gear status and to ease troubleshooting.

Single Lever Power Control
A single, ergonomically designed lever controls engine power, propeller and engine condition. In addition, its new electronic power center allows the TBM 900 to start almost twice fast as its predecessors and automatic starter cutoff which reduces pilot workload during the startup sequence.

Automated Pressurization Control and Environmental System
The dual zone pressurization and air conditioning systems utilize engine bleed air to pressurize, heat/cool and defog the cabin and cockpit windows.

Circuit Breaker Panel
Newly redesigned with additional breakers, new lightning and labelling for clearer indentification.
Ergonomic yoke
With remote command buttons
Single Lever Power Control
The first single-engine turboprop
E-copilot
To reduce the pilot’s workload

Grand as your lifestyle
Cabin comfort

Cabin Lighting
Cabin lighting consists of dome lights, baggage compartment lights, access stair lighting, and individual reading lights at all seats.

Leather seats options
The TBM 900 offers top grain leather on all seated surfaces with detailed stitching. Seats easily recline, and are ingeniously sized with padded leather armrests which allow passengers to relax in hand sculpted comfort.

Cabinet Options
Several cabinets enable you to optimize the storage space between the intermediate and pilot seats.

Cabin Temperature Control
Allows passengers to enjoy a comfortable cockpit where the temperature meets their most cooling comforting needs.
Advanced Aerodynamics
Advanced Aerodynamics enhance efficiency, range and speed
Airframe design
The TBM 900 airframe design employs several fail-safe structural design techniques, including the use of multiple load paths and a crack-stopper band to maximize subsystem reliability/durability and structural life. The TBM 900 aircraft is essentially identical to that of the TBM 850 and 700 models. Airframe designers carefully chose a variety of aluminum alloys, high strength steel (including titanium). However TBM 900 uses more advanced composite materials such as carbon fiber for its new items (winglets, new cowlings, etc.) to maximize structural strength and durability while minimizing aircraft weight and both acquisition and life-cycle support costs.
Winglets
The 2-foot high winglets will immediately become the signature of the TBM 900. Coupled with aerodynamic improvements to the ailerons, vertical stabilizer and new inner gear doors, these winglets significantly reduce drag while improving handling at low speeds and high angles of attack.
Tail cone & light
The TBM 900 tail cone has been restructured making it more streamlined reducing drag and improving airframe efficiency. To improve visibility at night, we added an additional light at the tip of the tail of the aircraft. This gives improved lighting around the TBM 900 to enhance visibility of the TBM 900 by other aircraft in low-light conditions.
Gear doors
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of the airflow over the previous TBM airframe revealed a significant amount of turbulence in the area of the gear doors. As a result we’ve added an inner gear door to the TBM 900, which reduced turbulence and improves its aerodynamic efficiency.
