Daher’s external paint scheme configurator for TBM 900 and TBM 930 very fast turboprop aircraft is now available on Apple App Store
Tarbes, France, November 28, 2016 – Daher today announced the release of a new iPad application that allows future TBM 900 and TBM 930 owners to customize the paint scheme of their very fast turboprop aircraft, while also enabling TBM fans to visualize the airplane of their dreams.
This free-of-charge application displays a full 3D view of the TBM that enables the aircraft to be seen from all angles. For each area defined by one of Daher’s two factory standard paint schemes, the user will be able to select a preferred color – assisted by a palette containing 105 different shades. A choice of aircraft registration styles also is offered, as well as the positioning of TBM 900/TBM 930 logos. After finalizing the configuration, the results are saved and made available as a PDF file or JPG image.
« Style definitely matters for TBM owners, and the personalization phase is very important during a new aircraft acquisition,” commented Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of the Daher Airplane Business Unit. “By creating this configurator tool, we are providing a very realistic opportunity to visualize how the future airplane will look, enabling customers to define the external styling as early as possible.”

The TBM 900 and TBM 930 are the latest members in Daher’s TBM family of very fast single-engine turboprop aircraft. Differences between the two models are concentrated on their primary avionics: Garmin’s G1000 avionics system with physical keypad for the TBM 900; Garmin’s G3000 with touchscreen controller for the TBM 930.
Both aircraft offer superior performance – a maximum cruise speed of 330 kts. – and high efficiency with a 1,730-naut. mi. maximum range and a fuel consumption at economy cruise of 37 U.S. gallons per hour. This results from aerodynamic improvements, along with other aircraft enhancements. The maximum range and useful load, as well as the ability to land at small airports, are some of the customers’ favorite features.
Overall, Daher has booked a total of 154 orders for the TBM 900 and TBM 930 since their launch in 2014 and 2016, respectively. The 37 deliveries made in 2016 (as of October 31) brought the total number of TBM-series aircraft received by customers to 806, with this global fleet accumulating some 1.38 million flight hours.
