EBACE 2015: Daher celebrates the first year of operations with its TBM 900 very fast turboprop aircraft

EBACE, Geneva, Switzerland, May 18, 2015 – Daher is showcasing the new TBM 900 and presenting improved customer services for its very fast turboprop aircraft family during the company’s presence at this week’s European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE).

As the main business aviation exhibition in Europe – being held May 19-21 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland – EBACE is enabling Daher to mark the TBM 900’s first year of service with a growing global customer base of owner/pilots, charter operators and corporations.a

In the year since Daher’s official rollout of the TBM 900 in March 2014, 100 of these enhanced aircraft have been ordered. The current fleet, of 68 TBM 900 already has accumulated an estimated 10,000 flight hours, with 30 percent of the planes having flown more than 200 flight hours each since their service entries.

According to first quarter 2015 aircraft shipment data published by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) last week, the TBM 900 maintained the best-selling airplane position in its segment even as total overall industry shipments during this period declined compared to last year.

« These figures, combined with the sustained activity of TBM 900 operators, confirm that the TBM is a mature product – keeping its promises of improved efficiency with a unique cost to performance ratio,” said Nicolas Chabbert, the Daher Airplane Business Unit’s Senior Vice President, during an EBACE press conference today. “The best example comes from one customer who contrasted his 400-flight hour annual activity with the TBM 900 and the light jet previously owned, concluding he saved $380,000 in his first year of TBM 900 operations.”

About the TBM 900www.tbm.aero

The TBM 900 is the latest member of Daher’s TBM family of very fast single-engine turboprop aircraft. It offers superior performance – a maximum cruise speed of 330 kts. – and high efficiency with a 1,730 naut. mi. maximum range and a fuel consumption at economy cruise of 37 U.S. gallons per hour. The maximum range and useful load, as well as the ability to land at small airports, are some of its customers’ favorite features.

TBM 900 deliveries in 2014 bring total TBM-series aircraft received by customers to 713 units, with this global fleet accumulating more than 1.2 million flight hours as of January 15, 2015.
